Amazing Grace Nursery operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am- 5:30pm, with flexible and extended scheduling options available to meet the needs of busy families.
2. What age groups do you serve?
We provide care and enrichment programs for children starting from 3 months up to 12 years old, focusing on age-appropriate developmental milestones.
3. What is the teacher-to-child ratio?
Our teacher-to-child ratio meets or exceeds state guidelines. For instance, our Preschool group, the ratio is 5:1, ensuring each child receives individualized attention and support.
4. What curriculum do you follow?
Our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Rudolf Steiner approaches, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through play-based and child-led learning experiences. We focus on cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
5. How do you handle discipline and behavior guidance?
We use positive guidance techniques to help children develop self-regulation, autonomy, and conflict resolution skills. Our goal is to foster a supportive, respectful environment where children learn to make positive choices.
6. What security measures do you have in place?
Safety is our top priority. We have a secure entry system, cameras in key areas, and strict check-in/out procedures. Our staff is trained in emergency protocols to ensure the well-being of every child.
7. What is your approach to nutrition and meals?
We provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day. Our menu accommodates dietary restrictions and promotes healthy eating habits. We also support breastfeeding families and provide space for nursing or pumping if needed.
8. How do you communicate with parents about their child’s progress?
We maintain open communication with parents through daily reports, regular check-ins, and parent-teacher conferences. We also use a secure online platform to share updates, photos, and important announcements.
9. What is your sick policy?
For the health and safety of all children, we ask that sick children remain at home. We follow state guidelines for symptoms requiring exclusion, such as fever, vomiting, or contagious illnesses. Children may return once symptoms have subsided for 24 hours without medication.
10. What is your policy for outdoor play?
Outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine. Weather permitting, children enjoy outdoor activities twice a day, where they can engage in gross motor play and connect with nature. We adjust outdoor time based on weather conditions to ensure safety.
11. What happens if I’m late for pickup?
We understand that delays happen. If you anticipate being late, please inform us as soon as possible so we can make arrangements to compensate our staff for their time.
12. Do you offer drop-in or part-time care?
Yes, we offer flexible scheduling options, including part-time and drop-in care to accommodate the needs of families seeking temporary or non-full-time arrangements.
13. How do you support children with special needs?
We welcome children of all abilities and work closely with families to ensure each child’s needs are met. Our staff receives training to support children with special needs, and we create individualized plans that foster inclusion and participation.
14. How do you manage transitions between age groups?
Transitions are handled thoughtfully to ensure a smooth adjustment for each child. We communicate with parents in advance, and children may participate in our evening social events* before making the full transition.
15. What is the enrollment process?
To enroll, we invite families to schedule a tour in order to be added to our enrollment waitlist. Once space is confirmed, we will guide you through the necessary paperwork, including health forms and registration details. A deposit is required to secure your child's spot.
